Cross Border Air Terminal

Description:

The Otay-Tijuana Venture LLC has plans to build a cross-border facility that will connect a terminal in San Diego (in Otay-Mesa) the Tijuana Airport. Airline passengers would park in the U.S., check their bags at a proposed  65,000 sq foot terminal, walk across a 500-foot pedestrian bridge across the U.S.-Mexico border, and board a plane at the Tijuana Airport.

Brown Field

Description:

Brown Field is located in Otay Mesa. On both sides of the long airport runway a new developer will use open space to add aviation facilities and basic business services.

Brown Field Technology Park

Where:

Located across from the former Brown Field Airport in Otay Mesa, San Diego.

Description of Project

The Brown Field Technology Park is across from the Brown Field Airport, and includes the development of mid-rise office buildings up to six stories on site.

State Route 11 and East Otay Mesa Port of Entry

Where:

East Otay Mesa – U.S.-Mexico Border

Description:

State Route 11 (SR 11) and a new Port of Entry (POE) at East Otay Mesa will improve the efficient movement of people, goods, and services between the United States and Mexico. Scheduled to open in 2017, this new POE and three-mile, four-lane state highway will connect the U.S.-Mexico border to key regional, state, and international highways.
